TD^^^, your church sounds a lot like mine. We also sing joyful, uplifting songs, rather than funeral dirges. We don't have a 12 piece band, maybe 7 or 8. But we definitely make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I really do think it's very sad that so many people don't want to be part of such an inspirational and uplifting experience.

But I do think I understand what you meant to say. You and I go to our churches to worship the Lord. Not because we're blind, fearful sheep, being lead by the nose to empty out our pockets because of a guilt trip, layed on us by some self-serving, power mad preacher.

I do think it's important for people to know that there is a difference between followers of Christ and some of the large denominational organizations that seem to be involved in everything but the true teachings of Christ. And I assumed that this was the reason you were accentuating this difference.

So many people talk about the crooks and corruption in "Big Religion", that we need to emphasize that true Christians are not into this. And I'm pretty sure that this is what you meant to say. If not, please correct me. Thanks,

Colleen
