JDN,

I read that press release with mixed emotions. Dont know if it will ever be a meaningful
part of INTC business but I presume it carries far smaller gross margins then currently. JDN

About the press release on the server farms, why the mixed emotions? Look at it this way, since Sun Micro has gotten indelibly written in as a major Internet infrastructure play, its stock has skyrocketed (P/E about 72, 3X historic). I know I don't have to tell you this about Sun. Doesn't Intel's server farm/Internet service effort push make them more of an Internet play also? Sure, sure, they have to do it right, and it's not a core thing with Intel, what they're attempting. I do recall that they've assigned one of their top VPs to head up the effort, Gerhard H. Parker. We'll see.

Tony

JDN - Re: " but I presume it carries far smaller gross margins then currently. "

The "Gross Margins" will be different.

Instead of manufacturing an item and making a ONE-TIME sale (with appropriate Gross Margin), this will be a service business with a (hopefully) CONTINUAL cash flow revenue stream from customers.
