Also, anyone know whether RIM and SW design their own RF chips or if they're using 3rd party chips (and whose chips).

Any info is appreciated, TIA - gofer

PS: my personal opinion is that in the long term embedded modems and RF chips are a much bigger market than PC Card modems.
