MU - Semicndctr-Mem Chips -- Technology 22-Sep-99 12:26:24 Micron Technologies is bucking the broader market trend, trading up 4 3/8 points to $82 1/2 on solid institutional buying. Roughly 70% of all trading today has come in the form of a block transaction as institutional investors scoop up shares following yesterday's sell-off. Post-trade broker reports indicate that a buy transactions outpace sell transactions by a 3 to 2 ratio. The most recent pre-trade data indicate the stock's strong rally has attracted some interest from sellers, however, it appears likely that the stock's fate will remain with the buyers as previous super sell messages had little success in slowing the pace of today's rise.
