19 shots in my 9mm will guarentee that even though it may not be a killer round once, two or three will keep anyone down.

I practice often, it's not like I would miss, but if the rounds pass through the body and the energy is not expended in the soft tissues, it will take more rounds to provide the same amount of energy for the kill. Simple physics and physiology.

Although MY gun, loaded with 158gr hollowpoints in .357 Mag capacity will stop with one shot. Period. I could miss and hit an elbow and the person on the wrong end of the law would go down due to his arm being removed from the elbow down.
