I think NZRO may price tonight/trade tomorrow.. will be interesting to see if XSNI catches any attention with the NZRO ipo..
other interesting news today:
cbs.marketwatch.com
Earthlink (ELNK) & Mindspring (MSPG) merge.. to better compete with AOL.. (and with netzero coming up fast from behind)
wonder when someone will notice XSNI's 500K subscribers?

post from Raging Bull:

The free isp model is doomed to fail - for various reasons but chief among them is that they are giving away black and white tvs and everybody wants color - specifically, they are offering free "dial-up" access at 28k, when the trend is toward broadband, via cable or wireless.

Now, they may argue that with only 30% of Americans on the web, the remaining 70% of new-comers to the 'net will be satisfied with 28k connections. History proves the opposite - newcomers to a technology tend to gravitate toward the most recent version of a product or service. In this case that means DSL or cable or, soon, wireless.

Free ISP services can not hope to display enough ads to cover current costs, not to mention broadband costs. Also, advertisers would prefer to target more affluent shoppers - targeting users that are using Free-ISP access to save a few bucks is similar to trying to sell European vacation packages in a K-mart parking lot.

Bottom line: Free ISP threat is a godsend if you missed the boat on AOL the first time and want to get in now.

Jon, that gaming company BET:VSE--the low yesterday was $0.95/sh their high today in a bad bad market was $1.38/sh. You pay a British pound or two to bet on 7 soccer games if you are correct you win 1 million British pounds. Cdn$3.2 million.
