More percolations on NTBK through my brain comes up with the fact that brick and mortar banks lose money on low income customers and charge them service fees on their checking accts. Thus all the check cashing emporiums in lower income neighborhoods. (It's time to put the house up for sale when the check cashing outlets start to appear in your neighborhood. That means HUD is moving in the Section 8 people.) But back to my point, the internet automatically screens out low income customers for NTBK.

Also so what if NTBK just farms out loans to E-Loan. Regular S&L's just sell their loans to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

P.S. I had a FirstUSA credit card, and the stunts they pulled to rake in extra fees were ridiculous. They claimed I paid late then had the audacity to charge me interest and late charges on interest and late charges. I told them to get ******, but these tactics must work on some people. I understand this is part of the reason BankOne is having problems now. They deserve to have problems.
