Mark,can I ask how to erase my cache in Netscape 4.5? My old putter had Netscape 3.0 and it was under preferences.Can't find it in 4.5 Thanks..David

Mark, ""but could you enlighten me on cache, scandisk and defrag?" are you asking how to perform these operations? or perhaps why? have you ever done any of the above, sue? and what os and browser are you running?" Sorry I was so unclear but it's hard to ask something that I don't even understand myself!! Doug was so kind to explain scandisk and defrag on the thread to me (thanks again Doug!!). I still don't understand how to "clear memory cache." Is it the same as deleting temporary internet files (I know how to do that!)? FYI, I am using windows '98 1st edition (2nd edition should be arriving soon) and IE5. Thanks. Regards, Sue
