Anyone care to run the numbers on ELNK and MSPG merger ? Under the agreement, MindSpring stockholders will receive one share of the new company for each share they own. EarthLink stockholders will receive 1.615 shares for each share they own. See press release. ELNK up and MSPG down...hummm..the new comapny to be called Eathlink will be #2 behind AOL, and we all know how AOL service and speed stinks. Kaliico PS : new ipos stuck in the market mud...patience my friends, patience.

How bout the market? Maria B can cheer all she wants before the open about an expected rally, but the market is thinking otherwise. The volume has been suprisingly low since Labor day. It indicates to me that a lot of money is sitting on the sidelines, unwilling to participate in the market at this time. Perhaps it's Y2K concerns, or interest rate concerns.
