If so, what is Yeltsin waiting for?? It's now almost TWO weeks ago when these buildings got blown up in Moscow --yet, NO state of emergency and NO cancelling of the coming presidential election have been enforced by Yeltsin. Quite the contrary: Yeltsin seems to be among the bombings' casualties: his leadership is weakened and he's retreated in his country datcha because of yet another health failure.... This is not to say that Yeltsin is a fool who doesn't have a clue about what's going on: there's an untold consensus between Yeltsin, former KGB Boss Putin, and Lebed. The deal is for Lebed to succeed Yeltsin in the Kremlin with a guarantee to give Yeltsin and his kindred immunity as to their past financial finagling. Meanwhile, Putin --instead of being deservedly fired by Yeltsin because of his flagrant failure to cope with the current terrorist threat-- will just stymie any investigation into these alleged 'international terrorist-mercenaries'.......
