Since the 2nd Amendment contains the term "bear arms" and concealed carry is proving not to be a problem in states that have liberalized to "shall issue" I contend that now might be the perfect time to go on the offensive and make the argument in the media that an armed populace is a safer and more peaceful place than this "Pollyanna" society being foisted on us by the "gun-control" mob.

I realize you might need a really strong spokesman or perhaps several, but this silly thread has answered the question of "Do handguns serve a purpose other than killing people?" and the most obvious answer was that "they keep people from killing other people."

Putting the positive spin on guns would seem to be a good tactic in light of all the defensive posturing the NRA and others have done recently.
