>> As a long time shareholder of MSFT - I really believe that Steve Ballmer SHOULD BE FIRED because this is really proved the point that MSFT is a monopoly, too big and Steve Ballmer's comments is too arrogant. He didn't even care about MSFT shareholders.

Thai, I too am a long time shareholder and I also believe that Ballmer's statements clearly showed no regard for shareholders. His mission was to create a wreck and that he did. I want the man to removed as I will cast my shares to vote him out. I do hope he will be fired soon enough.

I'd really like to know why Ballmer said what he did. Unless one believes that he's stupid and didn't realize the consequences of his statement, he must have had a motive. But what? Drive down the share price so MSFT can get fatter premiums selling put options? And did that massive put sale several weeks ago have anything to do with todays statement? What does this do to employee option benefits? And does the DOJ matter play into this?

I've been a MSFT shareholder since 1987 but if the CEO tells me that the company is overvalued, maybe I should sell my shares and reinvest in greener pastures. I don't mind riding through market fluctuations but I really resent having my portfolio jerked around by a CEO making inappropriate comments. If MSFT wants to preannounce the Q, positive or negative, that's fine, but someone in Ballmers position stating what he did in a public forum was just plain wrong.

Whenever the market goes up, AG will talk down the stock market. Whenever MSFT goes up, the CEO of MSFT will talk down the stock and the high Tech stocks in general. Whenever the market goes up, the what so called analysts will talk down the market, so that they can be benefited by the "crash" of the market. This market is unhealthy, and it is controlled by too many non financial/economic factors, and the general investors are being held as hostages of these big mouths who are trying to control and manipulate the market. The market will go no where till these big mouths shut off their mouths.
