I, too, am an attorney. I'd respond to you privately, but don't know how to activate that on SI. This bull run has created a vast list of arrogant tech executives. They made their billions and have completely forgotten that their is a fiduciary responsibility to the shareholders of the company. There is no doubt in my mind that Mr. B's comments violated securities laws as well as other more general common laws. Will he be punished? Probably not. Not internally or externally. In fact, Mr. Gates is probably very supportive and mr. Greenspan is probably sleeping much better tonight.
