I agree that margin calls could trigger selling of non-marginable internet stocks, but actually the internet software stocks (where I am mostly these days) have been much stronger recently even than the SOX. In fact many were up today, including SILK, CLFY, COGN, BRYO, HYSL, BOBJ, MSTR, and CARI. I agree that if the market decline continues, and it probably will, this sector will suffer some as well, but do you see a true massacre coming here too? Or are you referring to the internet retailers? Or internet hardware?

I was looking to buy some CLFY today, and had a limit order in, but the market wouldn't bring it down to me. Do you think it will?

Carl

Zeev,

I'm not in this right now. I believe we are in for an October massacre.

Once again, I see I should've listened to Zeev. What say the turnips now? ==John C.

Bruce, I was not going to wait until $16.5 is breached, I got out today at $17.5. I could be wrong, but I smell a major retrenchment in the SOX (much less, however than the massacre I think the DOT is going to be blessed with).

I'll consider going back in once I see how the $14 to $15 area is holding. If it does not hold, we could go to the $12 or so before we resume the uptrend, IMHO.
