I was in Albany last weekend and stopped in at IMG. Some points of interest.There seems to be an empowered feeling around the the company. I have the impression we'll see a better flow of information from IMG. The announcement about the timing of the next earnings release (first week of Jan.) as an example. They want to avoid getting lost in the Christmas season and Y2K hoopla. Another is an updated web site. Technology announcements will show up on the web site. Worth checking if you haven't been there for a while. igc.com Shipping and receiving area to be greatly expanded in the next few months. Glenn Epstein seems very focused and knowledgeable. They had just produced a new and impressive marketing booklet on FRIGC. I didn't get the impression this is a product to be terminated. They have had talks with an analyst who showed some interest. No idea if a report is to follow. There's a road show planned for mid November. Four cities in the midwest. Getting coverage is a high priority. Annual meeting is on site. I believe it's Nov 6th. In summary, I came away feeling they have set some goals and are intent on achieving those goals. As a disclaimer, I own a good size position in the stock and have recommended IMG in my newsletter.
