From -0.68 to -0.59, that's more than a 13% increase. And for the year to boot, either means they are expecting really good results from the 3rd and 4th quarters or their earlier estimates for 1st and 2nd quarters were way low.

Good find. Maybe Zacks is good for something.<g>

This prodded me to look at some other financial data on NETP, again using Zacks. Zacks' numbers come from 4 analysts.

For Q1 and Q2 combined, NETP reported a loss of 36 cents; that compares favorably with a consensus estimate of a 43 cent loss for that period. By predicting a 59 cent loss for the year, US BANCORP PJ is predicting a loss of 23 cents for the remaining Q3 and Q4 combined, as compared with the previous consensus estimate of a 31 cents loss for the period; that's 25.8% above the prior consensus.

Zacks showed a consensus estimate, for the year's loss, of 66 cents; the estimates ranged from (.64) to (.68). With US BANCORP PJ upping its estimate to (.59) from (.68), that changes (one of?) the most negative forecasts to the most positive.

I wonder what the other three analysts will do.
