Good for you Jeff.

All my kids, from the 22 yr old down to the 6 yr old have a knowledge and respect for the firearms we have. It's a must.

Knowledge is power.

I went to the book store this morning to pick up a book that Gordon A. Langston posted about on the 2nd. Amendment thread, More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws by John Lott, Jr. When I's checking out, I happened to see a book that caught my eye, The Constitution of the United States of America. It isn't a big book, there's only 127 pages in the whole thing and it's put out by Barnes and Noble. I started looking through it and was surprised at how little of it I remember from my days in school. I got to wondering, when was the last time anyone in politics, specifically, Washington, D.C. bothered to take the time to read the Constitution?

jeff...you came to my defense earlier...that was very sweet. I must tell you I really never meant to get involved with a discussion here. I have not had the time to fully read the responses to me or reply fully. Too preoccupied with CS at present.

I must say, as you well know I do have a major problem with your present post.
I will also say to you, that when my son will be 16, he is going to learn to use a gun, respect a gun and know the purpose of a gun.

I feel it is important for me to know how to use a gun, for just in case if ever the situation arises. At present, I have no need or desire to own one.
