The ironic thing here is that Mr. Ballmer is just another voice in the cacophony of prognosticators, kabitzers, thread posters and general bullshitters with regard to tech stock pricing. Sure he is at the top of the feed chain for software tech but my point is that without a Form 144 to support his views, his opinion is nothing more than one man's chattering in the wind. If he truly thought what he said, I would have expected that he would have been quietly filing Form 144s left and right. Perhaps he has an "Alan Greenspan wanna be" complex ?

It is quite true that Taiwan's tragedy will put the damper on PC motherboard production near term and therefore Intel's Q4 and consequently Microsofts but to characterize this as a total semiconductor wide hit is misleading at best. Not all fabs are on Taiwan, networks, communications devices and related products are not necessarily in the same bind, and soon the marketplace just might figure that out. Then maybe our buddy Steve might see some corrective adjustments in line with his thinking.<g>
