Want to know what one of the real ironies of Stratton Oakmont was? They tried to sue Prodigy for carrying derogatory messages about the very activities that they stand convicted of today. I think they sued them for $200M or something like that. They even won - briefly: eff.org How's that for irony?

Interesting too that the Pugliese's (Celestina and Faustino) worked at Stratton Oakmont during this same period. Then Celestina went on to Gold Country for awhile. Now Faustino "Frank" Pugliese is working for I-T after this Teachdaq acquisition.

What a cozy world.

Hi Howard,

If you want my opinion as to why the price as drifted down, well, all I can say is that it is what one should expect given managements' failure to fulfill their promises regarding financial disclosure, and the apparent preparations to announce another shift in business direction or emphasis.

Since most of the buyers of this stock appear to be speculators instead of investors, it is not surprising that more are selling than buying. Although quite a few are buying which is why the drop has been a drift instead of a crash.

About the Stratton situation -- It occurs to me that the investigation has been fairly thorough and that the former managers have cooperated with the authorities to get quite a lot of people in trouble for their wrong doing. If that is true, the absence of certain names in that article and in any court documents would seem to me to be fairly conclusive proof that they have a clean bill of health. In other words, they may have worked for and with some crooks, but the authorities have decided they were not crooks.

Of course that minor detail has utterly escaped the attention of the bashers which is consistent with what appears to be their only purpose: to manipulate this stock into the ground.

BTW is this article about Stratton an example of the "facts" you mentioned a couple of days ago that j has brought to light?

As far as I can tell it is a non-issue with regard to PABN. Which, of course is typical.
