Curly Re <<At the last cycle upswing the industry was putting out over 1,000 lasers>> (per year I assume you mean)

No Curly, not even close. If you want to believe that you can, but it is simply not true. You can also believe that the industry is growing at 50% per year. Funny how all the expert in the industry disagree with you. You have been calling for Cymer at $200 for couple of years. Do you ever wonder why it has not happened? Could be that some of your assumptions are incorrect?

Cymer is a greatly managed company with a dominant market position. Probably will make around $1.50 next year and around $2.00 year after that. After that it is really unpredictable. I value them somewhere between $25 and $30.

Regards,

Mani

At the last cycle upswing the industry was putting out over 1,000 lasers

There were never that many lasers produced in a year, but at its peak the industry shipped 1,200 to 1,300 steppers/scanners in a year. During the last mini-peak in 1997, Cymer shipped 460 lasers in a year. If the cycle is very strong and lengthy, we could approach 1,000 units, but the cycle must resemble those of 1995 and before.

We need the current cycle to look something like this:
204.127.236.22
