Mon Avoncle Fran‡ois, Eh alors, nous vendrons au Philips. Je parle d‚j† la fran‡ais. Quand je m'ascend l'arbre, je vois les grands champs pour Qualcomm de vaincre. C'est formidable! I swim, run, cycle, ski, softball, tennis, frisbee, lift weights, and climb trees. Do so without any steroids or chest pounding afterwards. Doubt the porch can fit all that. I have found an interesting phenomenon at work since posting and reading more regularly, esp after being in telephone contact with a couple other QCOM holders. The more contact I maintain, the more subdued and suppressed the dangerous emotions that are rampantly loosed in response to events. As the group reins in emotional reactions, the rational side remains in control. Emotions are responsible for 70-90% of losses, imo. When the Everen twofaced report came on, we were onto him and didnt panic. MikeP was loud and right, as were a few others. The VoltageMeister was also key in subduing fears. I did my part. When this week's events unfolded with dollar woes, trade woes, Ballmer valuation comments, again the fears were kept at bay. Several posters again kept cool. Just wanna say how valuable the QCOM thread is. I hope to learn a few things from DrVolt. My experience is the people most worth listening to are an interesting mix of outspoken, informed, opinionated, connected, willing to share somewhat selflessly, and best of all confident if not slightly cocky. I strive toward these traits, and have decided to post on this new thread since I detect these traits in spades with Voltaire. Besides, you might need a TA voice from the upper branches of the tree. I still climb them. My goal is to lighten up my margined QCOM shares near the tops, load back onto margin a few weeks after earnings when selloffs are near completed, and possibly sell covered calls near those tops. Any help to pull that off from experienced hands will earn a kiss on the lips. does your daughter have any single friends in Boston area? / Monsieur Jacques Guillaume
