You are correct. It is downright odd that Sandisk hasn't said a word about its Taiwan fabs. Companies are not supposed to remain silent when the stock drops precipitously and they may have a reasonable response.

I agree with Art B.'s assessment of possible buying opportunity at about current price and current time. It seems like a reasonable bet, imo. I have added to my position today. I hate that-- buying more of a stock so far up the price curve. Dangerous, herky-jerky, with my thinking skewed too far to greedy and away from fearful. Worse---Often it's not a successful tactic for me.
But... the SNDK business model seems to be totally intact. If it's the earthquake or this week's general market or the secondary, then next year, we should (possibly, maybe) see SNDK at a higher level from now.
Given SNDK's bright prospects, this week's price drop certainly offers one opportunity (there may be more! Who knows!) for anyone who wants an entry point or to add to positions.

All JMO, and I've been wrong many, many times before.
