Petz, have you forgotten that AMD isn't in an enviable position themselves? The Athlon motherboard situation is likely going to be exacerbated by the Taiwan earthquake. That tragedy no doubt is also going to affect chipset support from Via. Also AMD's stock price is now below 18. Let's not forget about Gateway dumping Athlon (though that could change). The only good news coming from AMD is that Athlon is finally emerging from the phantom release stage into actual product. As for Camino, let's wait until Monday to find out about the extent of the delay. AMD may have a chance to take advantage of the situation, but not while they're still hampered by motherboards.
