Good, no concession there. Any theories on the 3rd slot problem? I'm guessing stubs. If it's a stub problem, the traces to the 3rd slot would have to be cut. But if it is stubs, and they could be removed, why the cap requirement?

In theory, there aren't any stubs because the RIMMs are connected in series. That's why you need a continuity module in unused slots.
