NDA needs just 37 seats more, says DD exit poll

The Doordarshan exit poll tonight predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance would get 235 of the 418 Lok Sabha seats for which polling has been completed so far, leaving it just 37 seats short of a majority in the 545-member house.

Polling is yet to take place in 125 constituencies, including four where the election was postponed, during the last phase on October 3.

According to the exit poll, conducted by Development and Research Services with a sample of 28,000 voters from 124 constituencies, the Congress and its partners are expected to get 145 seats followed by other parties with 38.

According to the exit poll, in all four phases of the election so far, the NDA is expected to get more than 50 per cent of the seats at stake......

Mohan and all
I want to bring your attention to the following discrepancy. My post # is 7190.
There is no mention in this or any post about US as compared to Mexico.. I did not equate India to US and Mexico to Pakistan in any post. Why is he (DIPY) implying that my post#7190 has ref to US and Mexico Vs India and Pakistan. What do you call this attribution to me of something I didn't mention in any post.
Mohan, U don't have to reply, if U don't want. It is just for your info.

Vajpayee warns Pakistan against testing India's patience

Pakistan is in a state of pandemonium, and has gone bonkers and is in a state of continuous seizure ever since India conducted the nuclear devices. All the politicians
and the military fellows are running around the world like headless chickens, trying to buy something to hit the Indians with, explaining the unexplainable Kargil to US and
the rest of the world, asking for money from the pauper to the prince, spreading doomsday rumors about Indian intentions, rattling the nuclear sword, buying expensive wheat from Canadians, stashing away money in foreign banks, trying to figure out the N.Korean and Chinese manuals, sending snooping aircraft and ISI agents to India, sucking up to the N. Koreans and the Chinese, projecting nuclear
macho image to the Islamic world, trying hard to hide a perilous image of no-body-in-charge, running to Washington at the drop of a cap, and doing everything else inimical to Pakistanis themselves. God bless the Pakistanis, Let Allah be with them and so we can be in peace.

Save your breath. No sane person in the world is going to believe that the contrast between India and Pakistan is the same as the one between US and Mexico. The
entire subcontinent is crappy and is home to over 40% of the world's poor. And India is as much a part of that as is Pakistan. Enough said.

notes by JPR:
If anybody finds any relationship between my post# 7190 and DIPY's post#7203, please let me know. I consider it is unfair to bring in Mexico in this. In post# 7203, a ref. to MEXICO and USA has no contextual relationship to post#7190
I never ever mentioned about Mexico and USA in any of my posts.
Failing grade: E minus.

Dear Readers of INDIA COFFEE HOUSE:
The following statements by an esteemed poster qualifies him eminently to start
HATE INDIA TEA STALL.
HITS is the acronym .
He can score as MANY HITS AS HE CAN, until his soul rests in peace.
He can have his own PSYCHOPHANTS, pardon my spelling, I meant SYCOPHANTS

The following qualifies for HITS PARADE
I-HATE-MOTHER-INDIA STATEMENTS
In the 50-odd years since independence, court judgements
have ceased to have any sanctity in India.
Looks like the BJP's problems have started even before the elections have been completed!
Their case is made entirely of mantras, myths and miscellaneous idiocies!
However, I also feel that the BJP and its cohorts are just as scummy as the Congress, save for its moral posturings.
It will be interesting to see how "stable" the combo of '99 will be! I won't bet that it will be very different from the combo of '77.
will you be willing to admit that if a government that is expected to last 5 years, starts tottering within a year and collapses before it reaches the half-way mark, it doesn't exactly fit the definition of a "stable government"?
Barely a month from now, they will all be fighting like the power-hungry scoundrels that they really are.
JPR -- belongs to the HITS list or is it *HIT list. Just transpose a letter (S) and have fun
