HI DGZ, It would have taken a day and ... to drill out the cement plug, probably in the neighborhood of 200 to 250 feet of cement. Once the touched the shale, they would have tripped to change out the bit, I would think they would not be prepared to penetrate the Tmblor with a dull bit, and also have a live well to deal with at the same time as they tripped. To un-couple and re couple 500 plus joints of drill pipe would take all of Saturday plus..., I would not expect the Temblor to be penetrated until Monday and in daylight IMHO anyway
