Thanks for the history, Carl. You know, I think that the date when granularity becomes a crushing problem is slipping out faster even than Rdram delivery date is slipping.

Note this quote from a Rambus SEC filing on March 6, 1997.

Looks like late 1999 now, best case. And they missed the entire 64MBit generation.
