Subsistence talks secret
House majority looks for solution in closed caucus

By PAUL QUEARY
The Associated Press

JUNEAU - The action in the Legislature's special session on subsistence on Saturday was behind closed doors, where lawmakers huddled in search of a way to get a constitutional amendment out of the balky House Resources Committee.

The Legislature faces a deadline of Friday, when federal authorities plan to take over subsistence fishing management on most Alaska waters unless lawmakers send voters a constitutional amendment allowing a priority for rural hunters and fishermen. (cont)

and just for fun, whilst I'm agitating,
that should be "pedalers"
unless you're talking about the riders who conned the City of Houston and the US government into a $3 million dollar hike/bike trail. Only this morning observed several bicycle riders ignoring this boondoggle while riding on the sidewalk and the street.
