Well, I suppose the short answer is that I've decided that I don't want to play royalty games, mostly because it's too much work, and also because I don't feel particularly lucky about calling the turns for issues to be held lightly. That gets me off of a lot of hooks...LU, EMC, NT, JDSU, AMAT... all that bunch. Not all will agree with me on this to be sure because there's a ton of money to be made among them.

Gorillas will take less of a toll on me. Pick 'em and forget 'em. Why RMBS/GMST and why not MSFT/CSCO? By the FM, average growth rates since IPO for MSFT/CSCO are 43%/76%, but I suspect they will be higher in the next 3-5 for the younger primates, and that attracts me, for at least a portion of my ransom.
