Not over cooked but just cooked. I used to eat soybeans. Grab a few the combine missed and munch 'em. Kind of a nutty taste as I remember. Now that they spray the beans with agent orange I've stopped the practice.

Have you tried your broccoli in the microwave? I use about a tablespoon of water in a cool whip bowl with the lid on loosely for about 2 minutes, and it comes out perfect and bright green.

I'm not sure I taste something different in cilantro. All I know is I really don't like it.
I have an acquaintance who refers to Brussels sprouts as "the Devil's testicles".
