DJ Crt Grants Lexar Media's Injunction Motion Vs SanDisk

FREMONT, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Lexar Media said a U.S. District Court granted
its motion for a preliminary injunction against SanDisk Corp. (SNDK) in a false
advertising lawsuit.

As reported, Lexar Media alleged that SanDisk engaged in false advertising,
unfair competition, trade libel and interference with prospective business
advantage.

Lexar, a digital film company, was seeking injunctive relief to force SanDisk
to stop its allegedly anti-competitive conduct.

In a press release Sunday, Lexar said the court's ruling relates specifically
to a "Capture Time Comparison" chart distributed by SanDisk. The chart claims
that a SanDisk memory card product was faster than Lexar Media's digital film
memory cards in certain digital cameras.

The court ordered SanDisk to stop distributing the chart, Lexar Media said.

The court also found that Lexar "suffered irreparable injury," Lexar Media
said.

Lexar Media said its is "currently evaluating the magnitude of the damages we
will seek."

SanDisk, which makes digital imaging and audio storage products, wasn't
immediately available for comment Sunday night.

SanDisk shares closed at 88 3/4 on Monday, Sept. 20, and at 84 1/4 on Tuesday.
Closing price fell to 65 on Thursday, on volume of 1.5 million shares, while
Friday's closing price was 68 3/4, on volume of 2 million shares.
