Jesse,

Since when do people give news releases on Sunday nights. Lexar clearly waited for an opportunity to drill this little tidbit home. Well, I expect as much from a bunch of opportunists who leave a company with a list of trade secrets and think they can get away with it.

Lexar Media said a U.S. District Court granted its motion for a preliminary injunction against SanDisk Corp. (SNDK) in a false advertising lawsuit.

Where did Lexar find the 3 people who saw that damn chart?!?

I mean, I am up on digital photography and never even saw it until someone pointed it out to me. And if anything were more true, it would be the deceptive advertising Lexar heavily promoted with their 4X, 8X... garbage they used to peddle their cards.

SanDisk has always stressed reliability, not speed. I mean, I even asked Eli that question at the Shareholder's Meeting.

This is ludicrous. I view it as a non-event.

Exactly what conduct are they referring to here? This was not public knowledge. Christ, SanDisk has not done any advertising at all to date except that parachute ad I found a couple months ago? (Perhaps this conduct occured at an executive sales level???)

I am waiting for the injunction against Lexar that pulls all current product off the retail shelves. That is going to hurt even worse.

Break out the Huggies, Mr. Reamer

Jesse,

SanDisk, which makes digital imaging and audio storage products, wasn't immediately available for comment Sunday night.

No, they were home like normal people with family enjoying the weekend rather than drawing up some trivial press release to try and push the stock price down at the market open tomorrow.

Lexar = No Class

I hope the patent infringement case goes "8X" faster that this ridiculous countersuit.

Injunctions, Injunctions, Injunctions...

Can somebody tell me the difference between "granting a motion for preliminary injunction" and actually granting the injunction itself?

How can there be such a dramatic turn of events from Sunday night to Monday morning? Or are we talking about two separate injunctions altogether?

P.S. I still like my idea about the SanDisk defense team entering a briefcase into evidence and then opening it up to show the advertising budget to date. You know, blow into the suitcase and dust flys out! I doubt that Lexar Media would be willing to do the same thing. And how about their "billion exposure guarantee" that sounds a bit like SanDisk's "10 million picture guarantee"???
