The problem with this conversation is that you are talking about Bill Clinton, and I am talking about East Timor. I was not defending Clinton, I was pointing out that your attempt to draw a connection between Clinton's alleged ties with the Lippo Group and the situation in East Timor had no substance in fact or logic and was the work of an idiot.

My comment that all politicians lie is not a defense of Clinton, it is a statement of fact. Even if they wanted to tell the truth - which they don't - the party spin doctors would never allow it. It would violate one of our oldest and most sacred traditions.

Clinton is as much a product of the conservative revolution as he is a liberal. As a matter of fact the only really liberal thing about Clinton is his willy which he liberally lays out for any passing lips
to caress. There are REAL problems in the world and neither the conservative or liberal viewpoint will address them all. And if we can't even agree on the topics we may not even be able to help ourselves.
