I'm trying to learn how to trade like the big boys .... Pat and Tom and David and Brian and John and Hal and other big players ..... No, seriously .... it is just time to develop another skill....... besides all that ... the scalping is veeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy hard work .. both mentally and emotionally ....and it takes a lot of time. Furthermore, for me to do it I must stay right with it all the time and am not able to leave a trade unattended, even while going to the bathroom. For many years (30+) I was a position trader .... buy and hold for a long time (years, hardly ever just months).... then I became a month trader, still holding for years but thinking in months .... Then I bypassed all the intermediate stages and spent the past couple of years teaching myself how to scalp .... I'm confident that I have succeeded in all aspects that I've tried to master .... not perfect, but moderately successful. It is now time to teach myself how to day trade .... I fear the overnights are going to be out of the question but a steady 4 to 10 trades should be within my grasp ..... I still find it difficult to let even the paper profits get away as on that last trade ..... gggggg For example ... I went long (again paper) at 1300 for a "long term hold" and it is bouncing right on my take out protective stop of 1302.50 right now ... So I can just hope I'm a fast learner ...... ggggggggg
