Anthony,

<< Would this acquisition help WCOM in getting into China's telecom market if Hutchison ends up owning some WCOM >>

One might assume so. I confess to not knowing as much as I would like to about Hutchison other than they have very deep pockets and in addition to their interest in the VoiceStream GSM networks here and Orange in UK also have interests in CDMA networks in Asia and Australia (I think). Best I find out a bit more about them, which I have been meaning to do.

Anthony,

Tero has a new article "Us Mobile Phone Consolidation -- Five And Counting", in the register. Sprint and VoiceStream mentioned (but not MCI/WCOM).
