I think G* will be a big surprise to the naysayers. Every yacht owner who travels out of site of land or out of range of Cellular will buy one unless he is a fool. Assuming they will work, many corporate jets will add them. It will be a boom for hikers in out of the way places. Will likely be bought by DOD fro survival kits for pilots and life boats. Cruise liners may ad them to their life boat kits. FEMA and state equivalents will buy them. It may become a "status" symbol. It is not cost prohibitive. Not much more for a Japanese tourist than a Louis Vuitton bag. Businessmen travelling to Far East will likely use them becuase it will be a helluva site cheaper than the hotel phone rates and there are still major areas especially in China with no coverage. Might even buy one as a Christmas present for myself if I can get a local rate for local call and US long distance. I need $30.00 on my shares to earn me enough profit to pay for my phone. We'll see soon enough.
