GZ, end of 1974 Should have been the start of Comex trading..I am looking at a Monthly continuation chart of Comex Gold Dec 1974 to the end of 1982....from Conti Commodity Research, boy are they maybe a ghost from the past???)

from a low of 90 ish in July of 1976 it was pretty much a one way trip to the 850-950 ish level in Jan of 1980. (it sure did not spend much time over 800 -ng- )

Intersting that you kind of slighted that bull market yesterday...but As you explained it was the cocktail hour -vbg-

so you want to give it a wide berth in the 290's?

JOhn

PS ironically, the start of COmex trading at the end of 1974 coincided with a 17 month bear move that was the largest in time and magnitude of the the 1970's.
