Neocon, You are correct on that issue. I believe many of these
issues have been "verbally beat to death" :-)

I will only say that those with an emphasis on "family values" consider themselves a distinct group, and only a few of them have gone off of Buchananish tangents.....

Buchanan is a red herring. Forget some of the controversial issues such as abortion and look deeper at the legalization of drugs, prostitution etc. that libertarians stand for, as well as the repeal of safety laws (child seats etc.). Social conservatives are diametrically opposed to this. I believe social conservatives selectively elect to include libertarians in their polling universe to bolster their own numbers. Libertarians want nothing to do with social conservatives.
