That is so entrancing when it happens. It feels so natural, but I find that when I wait to feel it again to share with someone ... I wait decades.

I asked MJ if she knew, ".......how kids play in Fall. You know, there's something more boisterous, more happy, more urgent; you can tell from their shrieking and laughing trampoline and sidewalk voices, that they know every afternoon is precious, every sunlight the end of summer?"

"Yah," she said.

Well, I forget what she said.

:o)

That doesn't sound very good. But whatever it was, it was that she has noticed it too. The autumn, afternoon, cooler air play of children. Before dinner, before their homework, before their adulthood.

I sat in a chair, an overstuffed, wonderful chair, one Fall, and watched the last soft and sharp flittering vine maple leaf shadows, the focus and unfocussing leaves and lights, on the wall in the sun-office, beside the large window. There were, across two yards through the open skyline windows, children playing. I guess you could say loudly, although it was not bothersome.

It was beautiful. It was so....Fall; so happy and sad.

So winter, summer. More "things" than any other day I remember.

Of course, I become despondent over the pathway of my life; how things have come, and gone, and turned out; and I shot myself. Making sure I didn't break any of the window glass, because it will gettin cold soon.

That stuff is a bear to replace.
