jackmore: My understanding is that the Q is a participant in the Bluetooth process through the SIG, but the extent of that participation is fuzzy to me. Bluetooth is primarily a Scandanavian initiative and unless I am mistaken "Bluetooth" itself is a Ericsson trademark.

ARM (listed as ARMHY) in the US is one of the companies which have a key role in this, (within the chip core - or as the core itself), as is Psion as the technological motivator in the Symbian EPOC initiative.

Europe is a place to watch for these developments. It is one of the very few areas where the Europeans may have a leg up on the US technological lead in wireless/data developments.

But Phone.com is a major player from the US side in WAP and of course the Q is a central mover and shaker in all things CDMA.

These wireless/data developments are broader than CDMA with WAP for example including all current technologies. Don't know how broad the "Bluetooth" coverage is.

Just my limited knowledge.
