Jim, Earlier this year when SECTOR ROTATION started heating up it was quite confusing, but now its been with up for almost 6 months. Right now there is sector rotation into GOLD,INTERETs,IPO's,etc. I look at this sector rotation as simply exaggerations to the norm. So this type of highly heated momentum, it becomes very hard to pick the top, so for those shorting GOLD, I would be cautious. Yes, it will correct, but when who knows. And you are totally correct to mention the damage to the banks. Thats why its an anomoly, and anomolies need to be correct. What it will take to correct this anomoly - I dont know. seeya
