I'm a big fan and long term holder of Helix, but recently pared down my holdings at 35. I believe the company will continue to do well with increasing earnings for the next year +, and the stock should continue to perform accordingly. Maybe a double by spring of 2001.

However, the volatile October market might drive the stock price of good companies like Helix down temporarily, so I am holding out for a Helix dip to the mid twenties to buy back in.

OT, my boule end cost me $15 at the Tech Museum in San Jose. The good sawed ones were $45. Maybe I should visit a grower <g>. They sure are cool looking.

pg <OT> Somewhere in the far distance past I remember a math teacher admonishing the class to always use a 0 before the decimal point as in 0.3 meters to minimize the potential for confusion. Speaking of confusion, the Japanese nuclear incident today will probably have big time public impact and may effect their nuclear power program. Promise, this is my last <OT> message for a good long spell. jtj
