Audio and Video replay of Gilder Telecosm Conference
Lake Tahoe, Sep 27-29

webevents.broadcast.com

Highlights:

You can scroll down the page and click on whichever session or speaker that looks interesting, although they all will look interesting to technology investors. My favorites:

Steve Forbes, Opening night Introduction: He comments on the Fed and it's historical blunders related to current economic conditions;

Clayton Christenson, author of "The Innovator's Dilemma";

Carver Mead, "A Deeper Way of Understanding";

Lots of thought provoking presentations and panel discussions. Bookmark the site, you can't take it all in on one visit or in one day.

There could be some overstocking of inventories in 4th quarter 99. If so, that might cause higher production in 4th quarter - but perhaps lower production/orders in 1Q 2000......

True, it would lead to strong sales now, but weak sales after the first of the year. The market typically reacts to things about 3-6 months in advance, so the market should be reacting to what will happen early next year right about now. Maybe that is part of the reason for the correction.
