Incredible. We have truly become no better than a bananna republic. Such a shame. JLA

I had an interesting conversation with my brother in law last night. He retired as a major in the Special Forces after Clinton was reelected. He was highly decorated for his service in the Gulf War. He related that he has been receiving calls begging him to re-enlist. Apparently, the armed services are having trouble not only meeting recruiting goals for enlistees (probably related to the economy -- thanks republican Congress and Alan Greenspan) but holding onto commissioned officers. He told the recruiter that he would rejoin only after they hauled Clinton from the Oval Office in handcuffs and leg chains. The recruiter told my brother in law he could not comment due to an order from the brass requiring all officers and enlisted men to refrain from making derogatory comments about our scumbag CIC.

Another aspect of the damage which was done by letting Bubba remain in the WH long after it was clear what he was.

I blame the republican congress who has the authority to impeach a crooked attorney general. Where the hell are they?

>There isn't going to be another impeachment, but it's clearer than ever that the most significant institutional damage to result from this period is the subversion of Justice.<

And where there is no Justice, the people perish.
