Luc's buddy, Eric Gustafson is on CNBS. His take on the Ballmer "techs are absurdly overvalued" comment is that softie never does or says anything except when it is in their interest. Thus, Ballmer was obviously trying to talk the stock down so they could buy it cheaper to fund employee options. Is this guy for real? And he runs a big fund. -shag-

i'm starting to think a Fed "no change decision on tues" is what will cause thebig intraday bounce off of 8700 or so. this would also cause many shorts to cover and make many dumb bulls buy w/ enthusiasum as well as the public. then we would roll over to crash to 5K AFTER as the mkt realizes (due to gold's rise and the bond's getting spanked) that Easy Al, against his own loose wishes, will be FORCED to raise by the mkt just as he was forced to cut last yr, and maybe even will raise before the nov meeting in a panic much like he lowered intrameeting last yr.

we'll see... the exact timing of this sucker is difficult..... :)
