Chip:

Quote.com is too high. I do not know what they are including. I use the YHOO data which coincides with the end of day Dow Jones half-hour data. When the Yahoo data is working, it is useful.

We had 80 million NYSE shares the second half dour. That is enough to stay alive but not for a breakout. By 11 AM Eastern, we should be closer to 300 million that 260 million. I will not do anything unless there is a change in the trend of the volume. The mid-day hourly totals should be about 80 million shares--or 40 million per half-hour. If that is exceeded, then maybe something will happen at the end of the day. However, this looks sick so far.
