Indeed. Nevertheless again, senate Republicans appeared generally uncommitted to the removal of Clinton, while senate Democrats appeared remarkably committed to keeping him. Many of them, especially Trent Lott, should certainly be tarred without regard for their vote, for the manner in which they allowed themselves to be hamstrung by the Democrats. House prosecutors pressed admirably against Clinton, but they had to contend with the wimpiness of their own Republican leadership to do it.

Yes. I nevertheless find it difficult to believe Democrats are able to persistently rally so firmly behind obvious corruption, while The Spineless 6 consistently manage to weaken Republican resolve to do the right thing.
