Christopher -- do you REALLY think women working in agriculture and sweatshops sell their bodies in a comparable way to prostitutes? If faced with the need to choose, would you hope your daughter decided on the grape harvest? For every high-dollar call girl out there, there're a hundred that are doing a dozen guys a night for next to nothing. And most of them aren't doing it for baby formula either -- most of them are doing it for junk. Mike

Having worked in bars while in college, I rubbed elbows with a number of women who engaged sex for money, basically cocktail waitresses or go-go dancers who turned tricks after hours with the customers, or during working hours but they'd have to split the take with the management. They weren't downtrodden or dirty. It's fairly easy money, although you'll never get rich. On the other hand, it's not exactly a career choice ~ once you hit a certain age, you're not exactly anyone's first choice. Most of the women, as far as I could tell, did it for a while and then did something else for a living. As one of my old bosses once remarked, "you can't wear that thing out!"
