what would be the ramifications of aol making a tender offer for the remaining shares of athm

AOL has no interest in owning anything physical in the pipe. They dont even own the dial-up ISP portion.

The only thing I can see as "workable" deals would be to undo the merger or have T sell its entire portion of ATHM to another party (Wouldnt be AOL). Anyone willing to take a stab at who might want 1/2 of ATHM? My ideas are too unlikely to mention.

I dont see any profound benefit to ATHM for either of these occurances, though undoing the merger might increase shareholder value some since XCIT is probably valued near 0 right now. T could then dump its XCIT shares on the open market if they could not find anyone willing to buy the whole block.
