I'm not sure "internet as we know it" is the issue, or at least the issue Paul Jacobs was referring to. More like what Sprint is rolling out with its mobile Wireless Web service. Selected sites with pared down textual data, accessible by cell phone... Yahoo among others is is involved. It's too pricey right now IMO, but the concept is cool. Sprint obviously sees it as a huge opportunity, and I'd be surprised if WCOM didn't.

As for wireless as a "last mile" solution for ISPs, that's out of my league. Check the QCOM threads, they're all over it over there.
